With 28 doors and 36 dancers, Indoors is a playful new work by Sophie Laplane, set to Mozart’s ‘Papageno, Papagena’. Rehearsed via Zoom and recorded in lockdown, the short film explores ways we can open our doors to new possibilities, all in Laplane’s distinctly unique style.

Sophie Laplane: #50Years50Careers

Sophie Laplane danced with the company from 2004 until 2017 when she hung up her pointe shoes one last time, and was appointed Artist in Residence, choreographer. She has created a number of works for Scottish Ballet, most recently Dextera which will be performed across Scotland as part of the Spring! double bill.

Eve McConnachie: #50Years50Careers

Senior Graphic Designer & Filmmaker Eve McConnachie joined Scottish Ballet in 2009. Her latest film, Frontiers - a collaboration with choreographer Myles Thatcher - premiered as part of the Digital Season 2019.​ As she edited Frontiers, she spoke to us about her journey from studying animation to becoming SB's in-house Filmmaker.
