When is Starstruck being released?  

Starstruck will premiere at 7.30pm (GMT) on Friday 26 November on Marquee TV and is available to watch until 11.59pm (GMT) Sunday 5 December. Once you press play, you will have 48 hours to complete and re-watch the film.  

How do I watch Starstruck?  

You do not need a subscription to Marquee TV to watch Starstruck, you simply need to book a ticket. 

  • Until 7pm (GMT) Friday 19 November You can book directly with Scottish Ballet on our website. Tickets cost £9.99 per household and, if you would like to support Scottish Ballet, you can also make an additional donation. Click here to book.  
  • Until 11.59pm (GMT) Sunday 5 December.  You can book via Marquee TV here

How can I view Starstruck? Can I watch it on my smart TV? 

The film is being released on Marquee TV. You do not require a paid Marquee TV subscription, but you will need to set up an account with them to watch. Instructions for how to do this will be emailed to you the week of the premiere when you book with Scottish Ballet. 

Marquee TV have an app enabling you to stream via Apple TV, Roku, Amazon Fire TV and Chromecast. Full details on their device support is listed here.   

I didn’t book a ticket before the premiere, will I still be able to watch it?  

Yes, you can book a ticket directly with Marquee TV right up to 11.59pm (GMT) on Sunday 5 December and the film will be instantly added to your library on your Marquee TV account. 

What if I'm late to the premiere? 

You can hit play in your Marquee TV account at any time between 7pm (GMT) Friday 26 November and 11.59pm (GMT) Sunday 5 December. From the moment you press play, you will have 48 hours to pause and rewind the film and watch it as many times as you like. 

I don’t have a subscription with Marquee, will I still be able to experience Starstruck?  

You do not need to have a paid subscription with Marquee to watch Starstruck. You can simply book a ticket with Scottish Ballet (until 19 Nov), or via Marquee TV, and you will receive instructions on how to watch. You will need to create an online account with Marquee TV, but there is no charge for this. 

What is the recommended viewing age for the film?  

Starstruck is suitable for all ages.  

Will there be an audio described version of Starstruck as there was for The Secret Theatre?  

Yes, when you book for Starstruck you will have access to both the standard and audio described performances so you can pick which version to experience.  

What is an audio described version? 

Audio description is commentary that describes appearance, body language, expressions and movements to blind or partially sighted audience members, offering additional information about the film through sound. 

Is Starstruck available worldwide?  

Yes, you can watch Starstruck from anywhere in the world.  

How many times can I watch the film? Can I pause it while it’s playing?  

From the moment you press play, you will have 48 hours to pause and rewind the film and watch it as many times as you like.  

I’ve not received an email with a link.  

If you book directly with Scottish Ballet before 7pm (GMT) Friday 19 November, a link will be sent to you by 1pm on Wednesday 24 November with a unique single-use code to redeem on Marquee TV’s website. This will enable you to set up your account on Marquee TV in advance of the premiere. A reminder email for this will be sent again on the day of the premiere, in case you miss the first one. Please check your spam and junk folders.  

 If you do not receive the first email by 5pm (GMT) on Wednesday 24 November when you booked direct with Scottish Ballet, please contact us at digital@scottishballet.co.uk quoting your order number and your full name so we can investigate this for you. You can find your order number in the original booking confirmation email.  

If you book with Marquee TV, the video will be added to your library in your Marquee TV account. The video will automatically become available at 7.30pm (GMT) on Friday 26 November.  

I tried to book but I’ve not received a confirmation email.  

You should receive a confirmation email within an hour (however, this may vary depending on your email account. Please check junk and spam to ensure it hasn’t gone there) when your booking is successful. If you haven’t received one of these, but you believe a payment has been made, please email digital@scottishballet.co.uk

Where can I find the programme?  

You can buy a copy of our digital programme here. It costs £2.50 and will be yours to keep. Once you have bought your digital programme, you will be emailed a link to access it. You can read it magazine style on our website or download it as a pdf. 

I’ve bought the programme, how can I download it? 

Click on the link in the email you got from us confirming your purchase. This will take you to a webpage, where you can click ‘Starstruck film programme’ underneath the downloads subheading. This will download the programme as a pdf to your device, which you can then view at your leisure. If you don’t want to download the programme, you can view it magazine style on our website, with the link sent to you in your confirmation email.
