What career moment are you most proud of?
It would have to be my Principal promotion on stage after my debut as The Snow Queen. A life changing memory I will never forget.

What advice would you give to your younger self?
Keep going because it’s worth it.

What does ‘home’ mean to you?
A feeling of safety and comfort, like a big hug from my parents.

What’s something people might not know about you?
I can speak Polish from when I lived in Warsaw and worked with Polish National Ballet.

What’s your favourite ballet to perform and why?
From the ballets I have performed, I’d say Forsythe’s Artifact Suite. I had never experienced being so physically challenged and rewarded until I did this piece.

What’s your dream role to perform and why?
It’s probably a cliché but I’ve always wanted to dance the role of Juliet. Everything about the role is just a dream!

What makes you smile?
Basset hounds. I have had 4 basset hounds as family pets in my lifetime and I love everything about them.

What’s the best thing about going on tour with the company?
Travelling to places I would never have been if it wasn’t for Scottish Ballet. So many incredible experiences dancing all over the world.

Repertoire Highlights: Snow Queen (The Snow Queen), Countess Larisch (The Scandal at Mayerling), Sugar Plum Fairy (The Nutcracker)

‘A standout moment is the exciting double act of the acrobats Anna Williams and Roseanna Leney. Their slaps and trips set everyone giggling.’
The Snow Queen, The Press & Journal, January 2020

‘Roseanna Leney’s sublime Arabian dance is a wonderful creation of slow and articulate passion.’
The Nutcracker, The Stage, December 2021
