Nya is currently finishing her final year as a Sports Science undergraduate at the University of Leeds. She is currently working part-time as a community dance practitioner. In her free time, Nya enjoys going to dance classes, tarot card reading and Olympic weightlifting.

In May 2021, Nya started working with the Scottish Ballet engagement department as a Support Dance Artist for the Safe To Be Me™ festival. Following this project, Nya continued her role as Support Dance Artist on a collaboration project with Scottish Ballet and Intercultural Youth Scotland using the theme Frontiers, based on a film made by the Scottish Ballet dance company.

As a member of the Moving Minds Advisory Panel, Nya hopes to support the development of an event aimed at supporting the mental health of dancing young peoples. Nya sees the advisory panel as a fantastic opportunity to network with and learn from a diverse range of dance artists and practitioners. From a health perspective, Nya is focused on considering the holistic health of dancers.
