Where were you born?
Where did you train?
I trained as a London Junior Associate and a Mid Associate associate with The Royal Ballet School and then joined The Royal Ballet Lower School at the age of 14 and continued my training at the Upper School. I graduated in July 2012 and became a member of The National Ballet of Portugal.
When did you join Scottish Ballet?
Why did you become a dancer?
I started my first ballet classes in my local ballet school at the age of 5 because my best friend had started dancing there, after my first few experiences of ballet classes I started to really enjoy it so I kept going but at this age it was just a hobby. The older I got the more I started to learn about what a ballet dancer was and started to see professional ballet productions and I loved all the sets and costumes and knew that one day I wanted to do that. At the age of 14 I started at The Royal Ballet Lower School and got more of a taste of a higher level of training, I loved to learn and try new steps and enjoyed the challenge. I knew after my first year there that this was what I wanted to do. I then moved onto The Royal Ballet Upper School and was able to experience company performances and the feeling I got from performing pushed me even more on working my hardest to achieve my goal of becoming a professional dancer.
