Where did you train?
I trained at The Dance School of Scotland, and The Royal Ballet Upper School before joining Dresden State Opera in Germany in 2001. and danced solo roles in Neumeier’s The Nutcracker, Swan Lake, and A Midsummer Night’s Dream, as well as Derevianko’s Giselle and Don Quixote, and Lazzini’s La Fille mal gardée.
When did you join Scottish Ballet?
Summer 2005, and was promoted to First Artist in July 2007 and to Principal in 2013.
In 2014, Christopher performed in the opening ceremony of the XX Commonwealth Games in Glasgow with Sophie Martin.
Why did you become a dancer?
I became l dancer because l get so much joy and satisfaction from performing. I love the challenge of pushing myself everyday and l feel very privileged to be doing something that l enjoy so much for a living.
