Caroline trained in classical ballet in London with Andrew Hardie, Maria Fay, and Anna Northcote. She danced professionally for 10 years mainly with the Deutsche Oper am Rhein in Dusseldorf. In 1979 Caroline retrained as a teacher at the Royal Academy of Dance and subsequently taught for 17 years on the degree course at Laban, London. She then studied on the Professional Dance Notators course at the Benesh Institute, graduating in 1999. Since becoming a notator, Caroline has worked as a choreologist and/or répétiteur with London City Ballet, Royal Swedish Ballet, National Ballet of Prague, English National Ballet, The Royal Ballet, Atlanta Ballet, and the Royal New Zealand Ballet, as well as notating and teaching most of Christopher Hampson’s works.
