About

Ben Chatwin (also known as Talvihorros) is a composer and producer working from The Vennel Studio in Queensferry, Scotland. Through his distinctive approach to composition, he creates a musical language permeated with a tension between the electronic and acoustic worlds.

In 2018, Ben released two albums: ‘Staccato Signals’ and the related ‘Drone Signals’ to much critical acclaim. The albums were supported by Mary Anne Hobbs, Stuart Maconie and Opitmo.   Headphone Commute named it one of the albums of the year “...a tour de force of grandiose proportions...” and The Skinny Magazine “...a gorgeous cacophony...”.

Ben also writes music for a variety of media; from fashion films for Calvin Klein and Louis Vuitton to feature films for the BBC and Red Bull. He has performed live across the globe with the likes of William Basinski, Hauschka, Tim Hecker and Oneohtrix Point Never.
