Scottish Ballet and YDance are offering young choreographers a chance to explore and develop their creative voices in Hothouse.
Artists aged 15 - 21 with a passion for creating new dance work are invited to apply for Hothouse, a choreographic training programme delivered over two levels.
This programme has been created to inspire and support you as a future choreographer. You’ll have the chance to:
- Learn and develop a range of choreographic and technical skills
- Work with dance professionals from both companies
- Meet other young creatives, working together in professional dance studios
Level 1 is a foundation level weekend, taking place on 17 & 18 February 2018 at the Scottish Ballet studios, Tramway, Glasgow. This fun weekend will be led by experienced dance artists from YDance and Scottish Ballet. Cost is £10.
Individuals who successfully complete Level 1 may also be invited to apply for Level 2, offering a chance to learn advanced skills and receive mentorship as each choreographer creates their own dance work for a public performance.
Application forms are available from Scottish Ballet and YDance.
The deadline for applications is 28 January 2018.
Email applications to firstname.lastname@example.org. Information is also available regarding funding bodies/trusts to support involvement in the programme.
