Coronavirus update: Scottish Ballet is prioritising the health and wellbeing of the company at this challenging time for all of us. Please click here for the latest update on cancellations.

The Junior Associate course of study includes ballet, body conditioning, character and creative movement.

During the year students have the opportunity to learn some of Scottish Ballet's repertoire taught by Company dancers. They will also have the chance to audition for Scottish Ballet’s Christmas production, The Nutcracker, and will experience the work of other departments involved in each production.

Although no previous dance experience is necessary, potential students need to show an aptitude for movement, co-ordination, a sense of rhythm and lots of personality together with the physical aptitude to safely undertake rigorous training without risking injury.

Weekly classes for students living within travelling distance of Glasgow are held on Tuesdays from 6pm to 8pm (for P6 students), Wednesdays from 6.30pm to 8pm (for P5 students) and on Thursdays from 6pm to 8pm (for P7 students).

Sunday classes for students who are unable to travel to Glasgow on a weekly basis are run approximately once a month during term time from 10am to 3pm.

Entry is by annual audition only. Students entering P5, P6 or P7 in August 2020 are eligible to apply for the 20120/21 session. All students must re-audition annually in order to continue with the Programme.
