An inspiring day of dance for P6 pupils from across Glasgow

Ten primary school classes from across Glasgow each had a fantastic day working alongside dancers and Education Officers from Scottish Ballet. Inspired by the choreography from Christopher Bruce’s Ten Poems, pupils explored themes relating to war and WW1 in particular. They observed a specially created performance in the morning and went on to workshop their own dance ideas to create a whole new piece of dance for a performance at the end of the day.

Due to the success of this year’s project, it will be repeated in June 2016.

"Inspiring from start to finish. Even reluctant dancers were totally engaged … Teachers were amazed to see children who do not normally achieve be able to shine and succeed at a very high level."
