A wee version of a big ballet...

Join Cinderella and her Fairy Godmother at The Royal Ball filled with adventure, imagination and delight.

This specially adapted hour long performance features the company’s dancers accompanied live by the Scottish Ballet Orchestra. The perfect way for young families to discover the magic of ballet.

Recommended for age 3+

On arrival, audiences are welcomed in the foyer by dancers in costume and the Scottish Ballet engagement team. Audiences can use this time to get to know the dancers and have a photo taken before following them into the auditorium.

Once settled in their seat, audiences can take a few minutes to relax and read through a free information sheet with introductions to the characters and creative team.

Moments before the show commences, a member of the engagement team will enter the stage to introduce the story and a few of the key characters from the performance.

Throughout the performance, the auditorium lighting will remain on and the content of the production is modified to reduce unexpected loud noises and strong lighting effects.

You can expect a welcoming and relaxed attitude to noise and movement from the audience.

There is also a quiet space available outside the auditorium with a live relay of the performance for all those who need to move to a different space.

During a short interval, the engagement team will run an interactive activity for the audience with the Scottish Ballet Orchestra.

The performance lasts approximately 1 hour.
