2017 kicks off in Spring with Scottish Ballet’s inaugural Digital Season, Under The Skin, which will mark the first time a ballet company has curated a month-long programme of bespoke projects exclusively for a digital format.

In its inaugural, ground-breaking ‘Digital Season’, Scottish Ballet takes dance beyond the confines of traditional theatre and explores the art form within a digital medium. Scottish Ballet’s Under the Skin will take place – online and on various digital platforms – in April 2017; combining cutting edge technology with an exploration of the beauty, physical effort and grace of dance.

The Season features an inventive and collaborative programme of films, live streaming and installation projects. This world-first curated programme of digital dance positions Scottish Ballet at the forefront of 21st century dance creation and presentation.

A free pop-up gallery in the Upper Foyer of Tramway will present highlights of Under the Skin from 21 April to 5 May.
