Enhancing a performance for the visually impaired

Audio-described performances are at 2.30pm, preceded by a touch tour at 1pm.

During our touch tours, you'll have the opportunity to hold costumes and props, hearing from the describer more about the designs and characters from the production. Please arrive at 12:45pm in the theatre foyer. Our touch tour is free, but advance booking is required.

Book through your preferred venue by phone.

Audio description is commentary that describes appearance, body language, expressions and movements to blind or partially sighted audience members, offering additional information about the production through a headset – delivered by experienced audio describers, Emma-Jane McHenry and Fiona Pedgrift.

Note that all possible Covid precautions are being taken for our touch tours including double vaccinations and lateral flow tests on the day for our staff, sanitised props and costumes, masks worn and care will be taken over distances. Additionally, all audio equipment will be sanitised.
