Coronavirus update: Scottish Ballet is prioritising the health and wellbeing of the company at this challenging time for all of us. Please click here for the latest update on performances and other activities.

Due to the ongoing restrictions around maintaining social distancing we have, in consultation with our touring theatres, taken the difficult decision to reschedule our winter tour of The Nutcracker to 2021/22.

Performances in all six tour cities will be rescheduled, and box office staff are now in the process of contacting ticket buyers to transfer their tickets.

This now confirms that our entire 2020/21 season will be moved to 2021/22. In April, David Dawson's Swan Lake will return to Scotland after its sell-out 2016 debut. Plus, in autumn, we will bring our third 'Five in Five' world premiere production to the stage – The Scandal at Mayerling – a reimagined and redesigned version of Sir Kenneth MacMillan's classic.

We look forward to sharing our productions with audiences when we are confident we can do so with everyone's safety & comfort as our top priority.
