Our 50th anniversary season officially kicks off with Spring! - a double bill set to send you home smiling.
Resident choreographer Sophie Laplane will premiere her latest work, Dextera alongside Sir Kenneth MacMillan’s irresistible carnival of colour, Elite Syncopations.
DANCING BY NUMBERS...
Paper hands have been laser cut for the Spring! season. Look out for them making a dramatic entrance in Dextera.
Pairs of hand-dyed shoes make up the kaleidoscope that is Elite Syncopations.
Musicians join the party on stage in the ragtime band for Elite Syncopations.
Mozart movements create a musical montage in Dextera (played by 54 hands!)
'When I was asked to create a piece for Scottish Ballet’s 50th anniversary I knew I wanted to create something celebratory for the occasion. Dextera is inspired by three elements; creativity, hands and Mozart.'Sophie Laplane, Choregrapher
