The Sleeping Beauty 2007
Choreographer Ashley Page
Music - Tchaikovsky

Princess Aurora is born into a magical world where mortals mix with the fairies of the enchanted forest at the royal baby’s christening. A jealous fairy fallen from grace casts a horrific curse which means that Aurora will, on her 16th birthday, prick her finger and die, and while The Lilac Fairy saves the innocent child by softening the curse, Aurora falls into an enchanted hundred year slumber from which she cannot be woken by anything less than the kiss of her true love.

Following in the footsteps of hugely successful productions The Nutcracker and Cinderella, Artistic Director Ashley Page has choreographed a truly spellbinding version of the much-loved story, liberally sprinkled with surprising twists and delicious wit. Complete with vibrant sets and lavish costumes

from award winning designer Antony McDonald, The Sleeping Beauty is an unforgettable journey through the kaleidoscopic perspective of over one hundred years.
