Leigh Alderson

Leigh trained at the Susan McMillan Ballet Academy. In 1998, he moved on to the RoyalBalletSchool with performances including Paul Boyd’s Uneven Ground and Liam Scarlett’s Monochromatic, as well as performing his own choreographic piece, Colourblind.
Leigh has won several awards during his career, including the Lynn Seymour Award For Most Expressive Dancer in 2004, the NJL Sponsored Choreographic Development Award in 2005, and has won Royal Ballet School Achievement Awards for the last two years. In 2003, he was a finalist in the Young British Dancer of the Year Award, during which he was coached by Carlos Acosta.
Leigh joined Scottish Ballet in 2006 and has danced in Page’s Cinderella, The Sleeping Beauty, Forsythe’s Artifact Suite, Pastor’s In Light And Shadow andBrown’s For M.G.: The Movie.
