Why did you become a dancer?
When I was younger, I didn’t know it was possible to be a dancer. Malta didn't have a dance company so I had never considered it to be an option for me. When a dance school opened in my village I wanted to do Latin American, but they didn’t do it so I chose ballet instead. I had never even seen a ballet before! My ballet teachers started encouraging me to study abroad when I was 16 and that's when it started to turn into a career for me.

DANCE ODYSSEYS 2013
.Edinburgh-Festivals.com – Kylián is so synonymous with the Nederlands Dans Theater that any company taking his work on has got something to prove. .Culturenorthernireland.org, 02 February 2011 - The first act presents us with the varied cast, particularly the wicked stepsisters, performed by Martina Forioso and Brenda Lee Grech. Prokofiev wrote the stepsisters as manic and strange, crazy and cunning. The dancers capture their personalities perfectly.
