Scottish Ballet is committed to protecting your privacy at all times. As part of the normal operation of our services we may collect information about you. We will only use the information we collect about you lawfully. We will not share (sell trade or rent) your personal information with anyone else. Scottish Ballet does not sell its mailing lists to advertisers.

At present you do not need to register with us to use the Site. However we reserve the right to introduce a registration process at some point in the future. If you do not wish to register at this time you may not be able to access areas of the Site previously available to you.

Personal information sent to us is held by The Scottish Ballet Limited of Tramway, 25 Albert Drive, Glasgow G41 2PE. We have filed a notifications with the Information Commissioner under the Data Protection Act 1998 and the information we collect and the use that we make of that information is set out in the notification.

The Site makes use of ‘cookies'. Cookies are data items held on your hard drive not on the Site. We also automatically track certain information about you based on your behaviour on the Site. We use this information to do internal research on our users' demographics interests and behaviour to better understand and serve our users. This information is compiled and analysed on an aggregated basis. This information may include the URL that you just came from (whether this URL is on the Site or not) which URL you next go to (whether this URL is on the Site or not) what browser you are using and your IP address.

Ticket sales

Scottish Ballet does not sell tickets for its performances. The local theatre where the performance is taking place controls on-line ticket sales through their website. Scottish Ballet are not responsible for the content accuracy of the theatre's information or the on-line sale of the tickets. Please check with your local theatre as they may have specific terms and conditions for on-line sales.

When you purchase tickets you will be required to supply more personal details than when you join the mailing list. This information will be held by the theatre that takes your booking and may be passed on to Scottish Ballet.

Conditions of sale

Tickets cannot be exchanged or refunded unless a performance is cancelled.

We reserve the right to alter or amend the programme or artists as a result of unforeseen circumstances.

Latecomers will not be admitted until a suitable break in the performance which may be the interval and the management of the local theatre and Scottish Ballet reserve the right to refuse admission.

Our liability

Within the law we exclude all liability to you in contract or delict (negligence) (other than negligence by us which gives rise to personal injury or death). We exclude liability for any consequential or indirect loss which may be caused to you by us.
