Scottish Ballet Health and Fitness

Welcome to Scottish Ballet's Health and Fitness videos.

NEW: Wee Fitness

Designed specifically for parents and small children to do together, this exercise routine from Scottish Ballet is a gentle introduction to ballet and yoga moves for children ages 3-6 years.

Based on the principals of Wee Mice, Kate Menzies, Scottish Ballet's Gyrotonics Instructor, leads Soloist Eve Mutso and two wee helpers in a routine that uses the principals of dance combined with imaginative play to help develop co-ordination and balance and encourages families to spend time moving and playing together.

Port de Bras

Following on from the success of Core de Ballet is Port de Bras which is inspired by 5 Tangos, one third of Scottish Ballets Autumn Season 2012 .  Gyrotonics instructor Kate Menzies works with Dancers Victor Zarallo and Brenda Lee Grech in a workout which focuses on upper body and arm movements.

Port De Bras is a progression from Core de Ballet, and introduces a more complex series of exercises aimed at toning the whole body. Port De Bras follows on naturally, introducing movement and centre practise to provide a fuller workout.
