Watching Dance

4 July 2008

Scottish Ballet is excited to be working with Watching Dance, a fascinating research project examining how audiences experience live dance. The project is currently seeking volunteers in Glasgow for a neuroscience test (!) – can you help?

Paying particular focus to the exploration of kinaesthetic empathy, the project investigates audience responses to movement.

The project is seeking participants who are experienced ballet audience members, so you need to be someone who usually comes to see all Scottish Ballet's productions throughout a year, plus another dance performance or two on top. However, you should be someone who has never had any ballet or dance training, not even as a child.

Do you fit the bill? We'd love to hear from you, please contact Matthew Reason at m.reason@yorksj.ac.uk for more info!
