SBYC Small Steps

Scottish Ballet Youth Collective is a fresh new performance course for young dancers. This weekly series of workshops will combine ballet and contemporary dance technique with a range of exciting performance and creative skills. At each class participants will spend 30 minutes on dance technique followed by 45 minutes exploring an exciting range of skills including voice, choreography, performing with live music, contact improvisation and drama. Once a term SBYC will receive a talk delivered by Scottish Ballet dancers, musicians, choreographers and members of Scottish Ballet’s technical team. SBYC is suitable for young people interested in a career in the dance industry and/or who have a general passion for the performing arts.
