There are lots of different characters in The Sleeping Beauty. Some are good and some are bad and some have magical powers. The fairies are kind and pretty and the Elfin Princes are strong and brave, like superheros. Carabosse is the evil twin sister of the Lilac Fairy; she is very jealous of her sister and is very naughty. She has two ugly children called Pina and Lucinda. Lucinda is half-bat and Pina is half-pig!

Create a character

On the colouring sheets, create your own good and bad characters.

Colouring sheets:  Good characters   Bad characters

Parent Note: Discuss what special powers both characters might have and discuss the use of colours, dark for bad and light for good.

What to look out for in the performance:

Look for the differences in the good and bad characters.

A creature blocks out the sun, can you see it?

Also, watch out for ravens on the conservatory roof when Carabosse is approaching.
