Twyla Tharp’s The One Hundreds

''Dance belongs to everyone and everyone can be a dancer if the material is appropriate to them''
Twyla Tharp (choreographer)

As part of Edinburgh International Festival's Dance Odysseys, Scottish Ballet invited dancers of all levels to join in alongside dancers of Scottish Ballet. Working with Scottish Ballet education staff and company dancers, participants learned the specific choreography of this innovative work.

As one of many surprise features of Dance Odysseys, audiences and dancers were treated to a performance on the Festival Theatre stage.

We were thrilled to receive wonderful feedback from our community dancers throughout the day,

"@scottishballet Thank you for letting us be part of this production - it was a really special day and everyone was lovely to us."

"@scottishballet Thanks for a great community dancer opportunity in Tharp's 'One Hundreds'. Staff great, class fun, teaching dancers - mega!"

"I wish I could do this everyday! @scottishballet <3"
