Entry to the Scheme is dependent on the academic year they are in not their age. Junior Associates should be in P5 or P6 when they apply and Senior Associates should be in S2 S3 or S4 although preference may be given to those in S2.

Do children have to re-audition the following year?

Junior Associates are automatically offered a 2 year course. Senior Associates re-audition every year.

Who qualifies for fee subsidy?

Fifteen Scottish local authorities offer 50% subsidy on fees if your child resides and attends school within the same area. The Associate Scheme applies for this subsidy on your behalf. Another nine authorities offer varying levels of subsidy which the parent applies for directly.
