Junior Associates
Summary
The Junior Associates course of study includes ballet, body conditioning, character and creative movement. During the year students have the opportunity to learn some of Scottish Ballet's repertoire taught by Company dancers. They can also experience the work of other departments involved in each production.
Entry Criteria
Students entering P6 or P7 in September 2013 are eligible to apply. Entry is by annual audition only. Although no previous dance experience is necessary, potential students need to show an aptitude for movement, co-ordination, a sense of rhythm and lots of personality together with an appropriate physique.
Weekly classes for students within travelling distance of Glasgow are held on Tuesdays from 6pm to 8pm (for P6 students) and on Thursdays from 6pm to 8pm (for P7 students).
Sunday classes for students who are unable to travel to Glasgow on a weekly basis are run approximately once a month during term time from 10am to 3pm.
