Children's writing competition
Hansel & Gretel, and Me
Get behind the fairytale…
At the end of 2012 Scottish Ballet and the National Library of Scotland ran a creative writing competition for children in primaries 3-7 throughout Scotland, encouraging participants of all ages from across Scotland to engage with their national dance company on a range of exciting initiatives.
Children from all over Scotland have used their imagination to breathe new life into one of the world's best known fairy tales.
The competition was open to all pupils in primary 3-7 across Scotland and four have been chosen as the overall winners. They are:
Luke Grieve of Salen Primary School and Joy Drummond of Linlithgow Primary School, who won the P3-P5 category.
Lily Hargreave of Salen Primary School and Sinead Moran of Rockfield Primary School, who won the P6-P7 category.
