ScottishBallet

Illustrated Talks: Scottish Ballet can visit your group, club or workplace to offer a de-mystifying, enriching and accessible introduction.

A member of Scottish Ballet’s education team will introduce the Company and a current production through a brief, entertaining and informative talk.  Complete with illustrations and anecdotes on the myths and mysteries of dance, an insight into a professional dancer’s training, and a look at what might just inspire audiences to ‘give it a go’ and try ballet for the very first time.

For those who already have an interest in dance; discussion on choreography, artistic inspiration, music and design elements of the repertoire can be explored.  Talks are enhanced by examples of costume, music and photographs and all sessions include opportunity for Q&A.

Illustrated talks are an ideal opportunity for those who are new to dance to discover and engage with the work of Scotland’s National Dance Company, or for those who already love dance and are interested in getting closer to Scottish Ballet.

Talks are tailored to meet the needs of the group and are available in your local area in support of the main touring programme.
