For adults aged 50 plus who have an interest in all forms of dance and enjoy working as a group. Regenerate exercises the mind and body through dance and develop pieces for performance at informal events, and explores participants' imaginative and creative skills. It is important that participants are able to attend each week during term time as the work builds over the term towards performance pieces and sharings. Wee Mice

A fun and magical parent and child class for children aged 3-5 years You and your child will work together through dance stories, games and imaginative play to explore themes from the narrative dances of Scottish Ballet such as The Nutcracker, Cinderella, The Sleeping Beauty and Alice. This class encourages boys’ and girls’ confidence, creativity and imagination as well as developing co-ordination and balance. This class is designed for one adult working together with one child aged 3-5 years. Current term: Tue 16 April - Tuesday 25 June 2013  (excluding 28 May). Intermediate Ballet

Intermediate ballet will further develop participants’ technique, co-ordination and rhythm; barre and centre work will build class members’ stamina and knowledge as well as providing an insight into the training of a ballet dancer. We recommend that participants have a minimum of three years' ballet experience. Drop-in class that can be pre-booked one week in advance. Youth Dance Challenge

For ages 12-18 - Join us ahead of Dance GB for a fun and challenging workshop exploring the athleticism of dance. How fast, how strong, how agile are you? Join Scottish Ballet ahead of Dance GB for a fun and challenging dance workshop exploring the athleticism of dance, then test your reactions, flexibility and jumping ability with special sport stations. Family Dance Challenge

For families with children aged 5+ - explore the physicality of dance together in a fun creative workshop. How fast, how strong, how agile are you? Join Scottish Ballet for a fun creative dance workshop. Get moving and explore some of your own ideas in a friendly environment, then challenge your strength and agility with Glasgow Science Centre’s Body Works Sports Stations. Will your family be able to jump the highest, have the quickest reactions or impress with your flexibility?  No previous dance experience is necessary. SBYC Small Steps

Scottish Ballet Youth Collective is a fresh new performance course for young dancers. This weekly series of workshops will combine ballet and contemporary dance technique with a range of exciting performance and creative skills. At each class participants will spend 30 minutes on dance technique followed by 45 minutes exploring an exciting range of skills including voice, choreography, performing with live music, contact improvisation and drama. Once a term SBYC will receive a talk delivered by Scottish Ballet dancers, musicians, choreographers and members of Scottish Ballet’s technical team. SBYC is suitable for young people interested in a career in the dance industry and/or who have a general passion for the performing arts.
