Adam and Company

Scottish Ballet is dedicated to producing work of the highest standards, and as a registered charity, the Company seeks to raise income through businesses, trusts and foundations and individuals to supplement box office income and core funding from the Scottish Government. One of the ways the Company does this is through tour sponsorship, forging a mutually beneficial relationship with a business that is committed to supporting the arts.

Adam & Company, a private bank with headquarters in Edinburgh and offices in Glasgow, Aberdeen, London and Manchester has sponsored several Scottish Ballet performances since 2009. Since its inception, Adam has been dedicated to engaging with its client’s and supporting the arts is just one of the many ways in which they do this

“Adam prides itself on forming meaningful relationships with clients, and our ongoing partnership with Scottish Ballet is a perfect way to show our commitment to supporting Scottish arts and engaging with our clients’ interests,” says Graham Storrie, Managing Director of Adam & Company. “Scottish Ballet is equally as passionate about creating an exceptional client experience and together we share many of the same core values, for example taking a modern approach whilst maintaining traditional values and always keeping the client at the heart of everything we do.”

Adam first supported Scottish Ballet by sponsoring the Company’s 40th Anniversary tour in October 2009. The success of this partnership encouraged them to go on to sponsor the autumn 2010 season Geometry and Grace, as well as the world premiere tours of Alice (2011) and A Streetcar Named Desire (2012). The partnership has also been recognised with a commendation in the Cultural Branding category at the 2010 Arts and Business Scotland Awards

“The arts enrich our lives in many different ways, and Adam is dedicated to offering its support to ensure they can continue” said Graham Storrie. “As the only genuinely Scottish private bank, we are extremely proud to support and promote artistic excellence in Scotland through this outstanding and award-winning company.”

"What a thrill I had seeing Scottish Ballet in rehearsal at Tramway!” enthuses Adam client and Scottish Ballet supporter Jan Munro. “I now have a great appreciation for the amount of work and dedication put in by these young dancers. I will support you forever!"
